A brand with good bones

For more than 30 years, Hutker Architects has been designing one-of-a-kind homes that tell enduring stories. They turned to us to help them tell their theirs. 

Their new identity was honored with a 2016 PRISM Award for best logo of the year by the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston.

When Hutker Architects turned to us to help rethink their brand, we decided their visual identity should convey foundational strength and balance, like the bones of a house. For the logomark, we created handmade serifs and crossbars that bring a sense of craftsmanship to a modern font. The “rooms” between each letterform are dynamic and spacious.

The colors speak to their brand personality: a graphite hue, like the pencil strokes of an inspirational drawing, anchors the vibrant orange that captures the innovation and excitement that Hutker brings to every project.
