Building Connections

The Women’s Edge is a Boston-based dynamic non-profit organization that propels women leaders to achieve professional and personal success and deliver a positive impact within their businesses and communities. After undergoing an intense review of the brand, mission, values, and vision, they developed a new name and messaging. The next step was a visual refresh to bring it all together. The Women’s Edge engaged our team as a strategic partner to build a modern, dynamic brand identity and best-in-class website.

 
 

Formerly known as The Commonwealth Institute, The Women’s Edge is the region’s top organization supporting women’s leadership. The new name reflects a strategic plan to expand the scope of its programs, membership base, and geographic footprint. It also highlights the positive impact women have in the workplace and the continued need to advocate for women in leadership positions in all sectors of corporate America.

We tied in these key attributes of their mission into the new logo by demonstrating a powerful, forward-propelling motion, paired with a modern take on a classic serif style. This duo symbolizes the connection between legacy and progression, advancing the organization into its next chapter.

SUB-BRAND LOGOS

Along with the main logo, we created a family of visual identities for their leadership development programs and signature events.

These sub-brand logos were an opportunity to weave in the fresh color palette, both confident and vibrant, yet sophisticated in application. They are all unique enough to stand on their own, and pair with the overarching brand through the carefully considered palette and complementary typefaces.
